Sonia Weitz, 81

I just ran across an obituary in the Boston Globe for Holocaust survivor Sonia Weitz. I met Weitz when I was teaching, as she was a frequent visitor to schools in the Boston area. I own an autographed copy of her book "I Promised I Would Tell," and she sent me an email thanking me for my story "Kaddish for the Last Survivor."

There's more about her at the Holocaust Center Boston North website, including two videos of her discussing her Holocaust experiences.

May her memory be for a blessing.
