Mail Delivery Suspended in Areas Damaged by Hurricane Katrina

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds...but Herodotus said nothing about hurricanes.

If only the USPS had invested in SCUBA gear. . .
Not at all surprising. Eevery time there's a decent sized snow storm in new york, they close down for a day or two. So what do you expect when... well.. yeah...
Well, I think it's more a question of where to put the mail, rather than a lack of willingness to dilver it. "Ooops. It seems your mail box and house no longer exist, so we put your mail in a waterproof bag attached to a bouy attached to an anchor and hoped for the best" probably wouldn't go over so well.
Well, if the address isn't there any more, it would be kind of hard to deliver mail there. Better to hold it and wait for a forwarding order to come in...
I bet the Persian Imperial Couriers would do it, though.
Yeah, I'm with you guys. If the house doesn't exist anymore, then mail delivery is a moot point...
