Hugo Nominations Announced

The Hugo nominations were announced today, and I have been nominated in two categories:

Novella: "Time Ablaze" (Analog, June 2004)
Short Story: "Decisions" (Analog, January/February 2004)

The full ballot can be found at http://www.interaction.worldcon.org.uk/pressr31.htm

I may have more to say about the nominations a little later. For right now, I'd just like to thank everyone who chose to nominate my stories. It's an honor just to be nominated.

For those of you who haven't read the stories yet, "Time Ablaze" is currently available at Fictionwise as a free download; and "Decisions" will be available there soon as well. Also, I imagine both stories will end up available to read on the Analog webpage at http://www.analogsf.com in a week or so.

Congrats, hombre!

I am also psyched that my friend John Picacio got an artist nomination, making an inroad into that stagnant category. Awesome.
GO YOU!!!!!

Congrats, man!
Heh - congratulations, times two :-)
Wicked awesome cool! We'll hope for more good news... Do you plan to go to Interaction?

(I am disappointed that "Short Line Loco" didn't make it into Novelettes, though... I thought it was incredible.)
Sadly, we really can't afford to go to Interaction. But maybe we'll have our own party in Brookline again.
Keep us posted.
Way to go on the nominations! Thanks for the add back, too.
Thanks for the add back, too.

You're welcome. Keep in mind that I can't always read everyone who friends me though; I friend back so people who are really interested can view my locked posts (not that there's a lot of them).

I suppose, given the number of people who have now friended me due to Neil's blog, I ought to make a post soon reminding people of my policy...
No problem. I'm more interested in reading your LJ than you reading mine, by far! :)
Well, as it is, when I'm bored or stuck with what I'm writing on, I do tend to dip into the other journals... :-)
Hopefully you don't get bored or stuck very often :)
Kudos! times two!
Mazel tov and good luck!!
Yasher Koach!
Two, even--you couldn't be satisfied with just one nomination. Congratulations!
Congratulations, and kick some butt!
Congratulations! And good luck!
Wow, that's great!
Mazel Tov!
Congrats Michael!

Mazal tov! Very much deserved.
As everyone else has said, congratulations. And I have a feeling this will be the year you win. Hey, the Pats won, the *Sox* won, the Celtics are looking better than expected...this year, anything is possible.
Congrats on the nomination!

Please let us know when "Decisions" goes up, I've not yet read that one. I think we missed that ish of Analog on the stands.
congrats x2!
