Spring Class Announcement - Teaching Science Fiction & Fantasy With Grub Street

I am very pleased to announce that I will be teaching a second Science Fiction & Fantasy Workshop with Grub Street, Boston's independent creative writing center. The class will take place for six Monday nights, starting on April 17 and ending on June 5 (skipping over April 24 and May 29).

If you know of anyone who might be interested in taking the class, a description of the course can be found here. It'll be a workshop class, but each night I'll also lead a discussion on various aspects of the genre, such as space travel, time travel, world building, mythology, etc. You can also see Grub Street's full Workshop Schedules and information on tuition and registration, in case there's another class that interests you.

The cost of the class for non-members is $255, and for members $230.

Dammit, that sounds like a fun and interesting time. Too bad I'm in New York. :-P
Yeah, well, if you're willing to pay for my transportation, food, and lodging, as well as a speaker's fee, I'm always willing to take another trip back to my hometown. :-)
HA! Sadly, I don't make QUITE that much money on tips at the hotel I work at. :-P But once I win the lottery or figure out a fool-proof bank heist, I'll let ya know.
As it is, I haven't been at my Mom's since summer of 2005. I usually like to take two or three trips down to NYC per year, but 2006 may turn out to be a year I miss NYC entirely.
Aw, that's a shame. I usually have been able to make frequent trips to my home stomping grounds (though that's always been more focused on seeing old friends rather than family) and this year so far I haven't been able to make one visit. Sadness. :-(
Cool! I may be taking a Fiction II course at their new Waltham annex this spring myself.
You'll have to let me know how it goes...
